- YHVH, which is pronounced as YaHVaH
or YaHWaH. In addition we will also use our Heavenly Father’s
attribute/title, which is Elohim rather than “God,” which
sadly is the name of a pagan god. In addition we also love to use the actual
and real Name of our beloved Messiah which is 
- Yahushua or Yahshua in short, for
this is our Saviours original Hebrew Name as given to Him at birth in Lukas
- Luke 1:31. This was the only Name ever used when He was on the earth by His
family, disciples and His followers OVER THE centuries, even until today!
However, it was changed to a foreign name by the founder of the new
“pagan church of
“For Messiah our Passover (Páscha) was sacrificed for us.”
As we will know,
Easter is a day that has been honoured by almost all of contemporary
“Christianity” and it is an occasion to celebrate the
“resurrection of Jesus Christ.” The holiday often involves a Church
service at “sunrise,” and it is feast that includes the
preparation in some circles of an “Easter Ham” that is
decorated with eggs and stories are told about rabbits. However,
all those who love the truth of the Word will have learned to ask questions,
and certainly many questions should be asked regarding this Easter holiday and
its associated traditions.
The question should
be, is Easter really all about our precious Saviour’s death and
resurrection? And if so, where did all those strange customs come from and what
do they have to do with the resurrection of Yahushua our beloved Messiah?
The purpose of this
study is to help answer the aforementioned, and to assist those who seek the
truth of His blessed Word, and then you can come to your own conclusion. We
will discover how man with the aid of the evil one, “HaSatan,”
being Hebrew for “The Adversary,” or as we know him simply as
“Satan,” has interfered and meddled into the spiritual life of the
early Gentile church and made some big changes that would change the course of
church history forever!
Where did that word “Easter” originate?
“And when he (King Herod) had apprehended
him (the Apostle Kepha -
Peter), he put him in prison, and delivered him to four
quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter (the Greek has it as: “Páscha”) to bring him forth to the people.”
Now let’s read
that same verse again, but this time from two other versions:
“So when he had arrested him, he put
him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of soldiers to keep him,
intending to bring him before the people after Passover (Greek: Páscha).”
NKJV.
“After arresting him, he put him in
prison, handing him over to be guarded by four squads of four soldiers each.
Herod intended to bring him out for public trial after the Passover (Greek: Páscha).”
NIV.
Thus the Greek word
translated “Easter” in the KJV as we now know is clearly
“Páscha,” which is translated in every other version in the Word as
“Passover.”
What does the Word tell us about anyone changing Elohim’s Word, Here are just four statements given by YaHVaH Elohim to His appointed one, Moshe - Moses;
“Do not add to the Word I command you,
do not take away from it, so as to guard the commands of YHVH your Elohim which
I command you.” Davarim - Deuteronomy 4:2.
“You shall not turn aside from any of the Words which I appoint to you this day, to the right or the left.” Davarim - Deuteronomy 28:14.
“Do not add to His Words, lest He
reprove you, and you be found a liar.” Mishlei – Proverbs 30:6.
Take a minute and
think about these facts for a minute. “Easter” has become such a
major religious, but also a massive financial holiday, just like Chrismas and
the cost of both holidays have become a financial burden on countless families,
as it is expected to spend and give more and more, and bigger and better presents!
Yet why is it that nowhere in the Scriptures, nor in the book of Acts, that
covers decades of the history of the early faithful and fellowships, nor in any
of the Epistles in the Brit Chadashah being Hebrew for the New Covenant, do we
find anything written after so many years after blessed Messiah
Yahushua’s death and resurrection, that the Apostles or early faithful
ever celebrating anything that remotely sounded or app[eared like
“Easter.”
“He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ‘THIS (unleavened bread - matzah) is My body given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
“In the same way, after the supper He took the cup, saying, ‘THIS CUP is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured out for you.”

And according to the
second century historian Eusebius the history is the same. The name of Easter
is pagan in origin also. “The Greek “Páscha,” formed from the
Hebrew, is the name of the very first of the “Seven Feasts of YHVH”
as listed in Vayikra - Leviticus chapter 23, being an “appointed
season” that was upheld throughout all the fellowship and was known as
the prophetic feast related to Messiah’s death, the Lamb with out spot
and blemish, that was kept in Jerusalem for four days, to be precise, 1.
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (arrested PM) and on Wednesday He died (PM), He died
with no bones broken, and the His blessed resurrection, all took place at the

Of course if we have
any understanding at all, we should realise that the word, “Easter”
has no relevance to the blessed Scriptures, for it is wholly of a Saxon origin.
Easter did not become a religious feast day, until it was instituted by guess
who? the Roman Catholic Church!
So what are the real origins of Easter?
In ancient times, there was a man named Nimrod, who as you may possibly recall was the grandson of one of Noah’s sons named Ham. Ham had a son by the name of Cush who married a woman named Semiramis. Then Cush and Semiramis had a son and they named him “Nimrod.”
After the death of
his father, Nimrod married his own mother and then he became a very powerful
King. The Scriptures speaks about him in Bereshis - Genesis 10:8-10,
“And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be
a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before YHVH: wherefore it is
said, even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before YHVH. And the beginning of his
kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Canley, in the land of
Shinar."
Thus the evil Nimrod
became a god-man to the people and Semiramis, his wife and yes, also his mother
mind you, became the powerful Queen of ancient Babylon. Nimrod was
eventually killed by an enemy, and his body was cut in pieces and sent to
various parts of his kingdom.
However, Semiramis had all of the body parts gathered, except for one part that could not be found. That missing part was his reproductive organ. Semiramis claimed that Nimrod could not come back to life without it and told the people of Babylon that Nimrod had ascended to the sun and he was now to be called “Baal” the “sun god.” Can you see how some of the most ancient evil pagan gods commenced, even though their names changed in various lands!
Queen Semiramis also
proclaimed that Baal would be present on earth in the form of a flame, whether
candle or lamp, when used in worship. Semiramis was creating a new mystery
religion and with the help of Satan, the evil one, and thus she set herself up
to be a goddess. Semiramis then claimed that she had immaculately conceived.
She taught that the moon was a goddess that went through a 28 day cycle and
ovulated on the day of the full moon. She further claimed that she had come
down from the moon in a giant moon egg that fell into the Euphrates River. This
was to have happened at the time of the first full moon after the spring
equinox, now we understand the Roman feasts of the equinox.
Semiramis now became
known as “Ishtar”, yes the very same word we now know as
“Easter,” and her moon egg was known as “Ishtar’s
egg.” May I ask does any of this ring a bell? I pray it does, for
what you are reading is the truth of your Easter and that filthy egg that you
have been giving your poor innocent children! Ishtar soon became pregnant and
claimed that it was the rays of the sun-god “Baal,” Thus according
to her, it was her very own dead son and husband, now the sun–god
“Baal” that was the source of her conception.
With Tammuz dead, the
queen told her worshippers that when he was killed by the wild pig that some of
his blood had fallen on the stump of an evergreen tree and the stump grew into
a full new tree overnight. This made the evergreen tree sacred by the
blood of Tammuz. She also proclaimed a forty day period of time of sorrow each
year prior to the anniversary of the death of Tammuz. This is now called “Lent”
by the Roman Catholics. This is how lent commenced according several ex
priests, who wrote the book, “The Two
“To conciliate the Pagans to nominal
Christianity, Rome, pursuing its usual policy, took measures to get the
Christian and Pagan festivals amalgamated, and, by a complicated but skilful
adjustment of the calendar, it was found no difficult matter, in general, to
get Paganism and Christianity, now far sunk in idolatry, in this as in so many
other things, to shake hands.”
Considering that
Roman Catholicism is based more on ancient Babylonian rites (thanks to a man
named Simon Magnus who was the first bishop of Rome) than those found in the
blessed Scriptures, some of the wording you have just read should not be too
surprising, for it is part of their decree! And remember that Emperor
Constantine who so tragically changed the blessed Seventh Day Sabbath by brute
force, with a decree on March 7, 321 A.D., when he stated,
“On the venerable
Day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities
rest, and let all workshops be closed.” (Codex Justinianus 3.12.3).
Followed up with: “Christians shall
not Judaize and be idle on Saturday but shall work on that day; but the
Lord’s Day they shall especially honour, and, as being Christians, shall,
if possible, do no work on that day. If, however, they are found Judaizing
(meaning to keep the Sabbath), they shall be shut out from Christ.”
We need to remember
that for all of Constantine’s life he was a sun and a moon worshipper and
the church of Rome states that he only converted only just moments before his
death, that is if we can even that and then the question is, what or who did he
convert to?
However,
Whereas the early faithful continued the faith in the Messiah Yahushua and the Apostles and upheld the Sabbath as well as the annual Feast of Passover, but in due course Gentile christians, on the other hand, who by now, knew their Lord by a newly created name, were unfettered by the teachings of Our Saviour and the Apostles, and they began to identify more with a whole new style of christian world around them, and began to view the first day of the week (Sunday) with the Resurrection, and kept the preceding Friday as the commemoration of the crucifixion, irrespective of the day of the month.
As The Encyclopaedia Britannica so clearly explains:
“A final settlement of the dispute (regarding on how and when to keep Easter or Passover) was one among the other reasons which led (emperor) Constantine to summon the council of Nicaea in 325 - The decision of the council was unanimous that Easter was to be kept on a Sunday, and on the same Sunday throughout the world, and ‘that none should hereafter follow the blindness of the Jews.’” (11th edition, pp. 828-829 - Easter).
Those who did choose to “follow the blindness of the Jews,” that is, who continued to keep the Scriptural feasts kept by Messiah and the Apostles rather than the newly “christianized” pagan Easter festival, were systematically persecuted by the powerful church-state alliance of Constantine‘s Roman Empire.
Lent:
During lent no meat
was to be eaten. Worshippers were to meditate upon the sacred mysteries of Baal
and Tammuz, and to make the sign of the “T” for Tammuz in front of
their hearts as they worshipped. They also ate sacred sweet cakes with the
marking of a “T” or the truth is actually looked more like a cross
on the top. Yes friends that is today’s hot cross buns, and that
is a fact!
Every year, on the
first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox, a celebration
was made. It was “Ishtar's Sunday” and was celebrated with rabbits
and eggs. Ishtar also proclaimed that because Tammuz was killed by a pig, that
a pig must be eaten on that Sunday, thus the roast pork.
By now, the readers
of this study should have made a clear connection how paganism has infiltrated
the contemporary church, and further study will indicate that this kind of
paganism came in by way of the Roman Catholic system. The truth is that Easter
has nothing whatsoever to do with the resurrection of our loving Saviour
Yahushua the Messiah. We also know that Easter can be as much as three weeks
away from the actual Scriptural Passover date, because the pagan holiday is always
set as the first Sunday after the first full moon after the “spring
equinox.” That is “Ishtar’s Moon Egg Day.” Some have
wondered why the word “Easter” is even in the King James Version.
The point beloved, I
believe is that Satan is always attempting to lead lives astray and then once a
tradition is set in stone, and sadly people tend to become followers and just
except whatever they are told, for let’s face it if your priest, pastor
or minister teaches you this or that in the “Name of the Lord” how
can you possibly question it? But, it is time that we let the Almighty speak
and we should listen to Yahushua and His Apostles!
The Jamieson, Fausset, and Brown Commentary states the following regarding Acts 12:4.
Intending after Easter, (meta ta pascha) - it should read, ‘after the Passover:’ that is, after the conclusion of the festival. The word employed in the King James Version being an ecclesiastical term of later date, is improperly used here.
The well known
“Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament
Words” states
the following in regard to the word “Easter”:
“The term ‘Easter’ is not of Christian origin. It is another form of Astarte, one of the titles of the Chaldean goddess, the queen of heaven. The festival of Pasch (Passover) held by Christians in post-apostolic times was a continuation of the Jewish feast - From this Pasch the pagan festival of ‘Easter’ was quite distinct and was introduced into the apostate Western religion, as a part of the attempt to adapt pagan festivals to Christianity” (W.E. Vine, 1985).
Thus, it is obvious that some of the
best-known Bible commentators and the vast majority of Bible translations have
simply dumped the word Easter as they all know that it is erroneous and
completely pagan.
Easter Sun-Rise Services:
You think Easter
sunrise services is just beautiful? LISTEN! Elohim was showing the prophet
Ezekiel the sins of His people in a vision, and I think it is a prophecy for
today!
“‘Turn you once again,’
said Elohim, ‘and you shall see greater abominations than these”
(Ezekiel had just been shown, in a vision, idol-worship among professing people
of YHVH).
“And he brought me (in vision) into
the inner court of the Eternal’s house, and behold … between the
porch and the altar were about five and twenty men, with … their faces
toward the east: and they worshiped the sun towards the east. Then He said unto
me, Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing that they commit the
ABOMINATIONS which they commit here? ... Therefore, will I deal IN FURY: Mine
eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in My ears
with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them!” Ezekiel 8:15-18.
We know that the Scriptures tell us in Yochanan - John 4:24, “Elohim is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” The truth is that the forty days of Lent, eggs, rabbits, hot cross buns and the Easter ham have everything to do with the ancient pagan religion of Mystery Babylon. These are all satanic activities, for he is a master deceiver, and has filled the lives of so many well-meaning professing Christians with idolatry.
These things will
bring the wrath of the Almighty upon children of disobedience that make pagan
customs of Baal worship upon the people. Priests, ministers and pastors
– BE WARNED for you are guilty of leading your flock astray! You must
answer for your activities and for what you teach your children. Remember that
these customs of Easter honour a pagan god Baal, who is also Satan, and is
still worshipped as the "Rising Sun" and his house is the "House
of the Rising Sun."
How many churches
have “sunrise services” on Ishtar’s day and face the rising
sun in the East? How many will use coloured eggs and rabbit stories just as
they did in ancient Babylon.
These things are no
joke, any more than Judgement day is a joke. I pray to the Father, blessed be
He, that this study will cause you to search for more truth. We will be glad to

Beloved these are the
last days, and it is time to repent, come out and be separate and with the
faith in Messiah, blessed be He, celebrate Passover in remembrance of He, who
gave His Life for us and Rose again that we might all have life, that is if we
believe and follow Him and His commandments, for if you continue to keep
Easter, you will have to stand at the Judgement Throne and you will be asked,
Why?!
The true early believers kept the Passover:
Take the Word of
Elohim and carefully read - Acts 2:1; 12:3-4 (where the word
“Easter” is an erroneous translation in “King James
Version” as we have already learned, and it has been corrected in other
versions.
Eusebius, historian
of the early centuries of the “Church,” speaks of the true
believers observing Passover on the 14th of Nissan, being first month of the
sacred (Hebrew) calendar.
In addition, the
historian Gieseler wrote that “the Gentile Christians observed also
the Sabbath and the Passover,” during the latter half of the first
century.
But as a new false
paganised church grew in size, but more importantly in political power, decrees
were passed by 363 A.D. imposing the death sentence upon the “Little
Flock” of faithful believers whom continued to keep Elohim’s
Sabbath, and Passover. Finally, in order to keep the true Way of the Almighty,
a large portion of the true faithful fled into the countryside away from the
cities, for in the cities they would be hunted and slaughtered like animals by
the church. But tragically a large portion of the TRUE faithful body of
believers of Messiah who remained true to YaHVaH’s Truth, paid with their
lives in martyrdom. History records that countless of these faithful ones were
martyred! These blessed ones loved obedience to Elohim and their beloved
Saviour Yahushua so much more than their lives! May
I ask the question - DO YOU love your
Saviour as much as they did?
But through all
generations, through every century, though persecuted, scattered, unrecognized
by the world, many true believers have kept alive the TRUE FELLOWSHIP (Body)
in Messiah Yahushua - and that is
the “Little Flock”
in Him composed of those who HaSatan cannot deceive! Mattityahu - Matthew 24:24.
Yahushua said:
“For false messiahs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand.” Mattityahu - Matthew 24:24-25.
“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Lukas - Luke 12:32.
